How Reno's first Mexican restaurant became its most enduring.

When Miguel's opened in 1959, it was the first Mexican restaurant in all of Northern Nevada. More than six decades later, the recipes haven't changed — and neither has the welcome.

Edgar, Olivia, and the hostess were great! Edgar was on top of it, he made sure her chips, salsa, and water were always topped off, checked on this frequently if we need anything. The food was tasty and definitely worth its value. Our drinks were delicious, we had skinny top shelf margaritas, Chilli Rellenos, and shrimp with octopus cocktail-so good. They served us right away and attended to all our needs. Definitely check this place out.

Loved my visit to Miguel's ☕🥐✨ Such a charming and welcoming space with a great vibe 🤍 The coffee was delicious and perfectly made ☕💯 and the food was fresh and flavorful 🥑🍞 Service was kind and fast, and the whole place feels cozy and aesthetic 🌿 Highly recommend for a cute and relaxing brunch. Our large party of ten proved to be no problem in seating or in serving. Waitress was efficient and attentive. We ordered a variety of entrees and everyone seemed satisfied with what they had ordered. Chips and salsa were complimentary. Nice restaurant and good food.

Service top notch. Food is so good! Atmosphere amazing and decorated for the holidays. Music is uplifting. Kitchen clean and organized. The hostess, kind and welcoming, and the ladies bathroom, clean and stocked. I 100% recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Mexican food experience.
